ALIAS In The Community director: Rhythms, Rivers, and Roads
Rhythms, Rivers, and Roads was an album/CD recording project by ALIAS Chamber Ensemble in 2018. The project included a commissioned work by Tracy Silverman. Educational outreach for the project included multimedia presentations of student responses to hearing each piece played live by musicians. Students from local elementary schools and Freedom Schools illustrated pictures inspired by each piece, as well as recorded their own vocal samples depicting sounds from nature. These videos, which incorporated the student media, were created in collaboration with ALIAS artistic staff.
